Alex Osadzinski is Managing Director, Global Operations at Relias Learning. Previously he was an active angel and VC investor in the Raleigh Triangle area, serving on several boards of local companies, including KnowledgeTree and WedPics. His prior career included founder, executive and CEO roles at six startup companies, including Sun Microsystems, Be and Vitria Technology; a Group Executive board role at Nagra Kudelski Group, a global digital security company; seven years as a partner at Trinity Ventures, a leading Silicon Valley VC firm, and investing in software and systems companies.
Mark Belles comes to Relias with more than 20 years of experience growing and scaling operations at multiple online businesses, including his time at Blackboard, the leading provider of education products to millions of learners and educators across the world. During his seven years at Blackboard, Belles played a leadership role in tripling overall company revenue from $200 million to $630 million, including his most recent position as a Senior Vice President of K-12, responsible for managing all aspects of sales, marketing client care and implementation. In addition to Blackboard, Belles spent eight years at IBM and has led sales, marketing and client care at multiple companies including his most recent role as President and COO of Teaching Strategies, LLC.
Ben Johnson is Vice President of Products for Relias Learning. Previously, he was the Vice President of Engineering for Essential Learning. Ben has more than 15 years of experience in web application development and database design. He began his career in 1995 as a freelance web designer and soon after became a software engineer for a San Diego startup. In 1998, he joined PMR Corporation as the project manager in charge of InfoScriber, a web-based medication management system. He continued to lead the development of InfoScriber for Netsmart Technologies, Inc., before joining Essential Learning in 2006. Ben holds an AB from UC Berkeley, an MS from Columbia University, and an MBA from the University of Utah.
Gary Reinersman is the Chief Information Officer for Relias Learning. He has more than 25 years of experience in enterprise software development, hosting and IT -- a majority of that in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environments. Gary drives the development, hosting and scalability of the Relias learning management system, as well as the support and security aspects of all platforms and excels at team development, quality and process improvement. He has held technical leadership positions with IBM, Railinc and Deutsche Bank in business areas such as supply chain management, finance and security prior to joining Relias Learning in 2013. Gary holds a bachelor's degree in Management of Information Systems from the University of Cincinnati.
Michael Hemlepp joined Relias Learning as the Vice President of Strategic Projects. Prior to Relias, Michael founded Redilearning with the vision of growing it into the leading digital education organization it is today for providers of senior care to transform their business. Redilearning is now part of Relias Learning.
Michael has more than 15 years of experience in senior care. Prior to Redilearning, Michael co-owned AllianceCare, a healthcare organization specializing in the delivery of integrated medical services, including rehabilitation, home health, and physician services to over 200 senior living communities and 24 markets. AllianceCare and its 500 full-time employees became part of Mobile Medical Industries in December 2004. After AllianceCare, Michael was a partner and co-founder of an advisory company specializing in helping healthcare companies grow, by strengthening financial operations, driving business development and securing capital placement.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Florida, and serves on the Business Advisory Group for the American College of Health Care Administrators.
Sam joined Relias Learning in September 2012. He served as the Director of Strategic Programs and Director of Finance prior to becoming the Vice President of Client Care. Over his tenure at Relias Learning, he has conducted extensive work on customer satisfaction and retention, and now is directly responsible for these key tenets of the business, overseeing the Support and Professional Service departments. Before Relias Learning, Sam served as a VP of Finance for CW Financial, a start-up consumer finance service company with approximately 300 employees and $30 million in annual sales. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the College of Charleston and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
