The purpose of this course is to help you maintain a safe environment at work. To do this, you need to recognise your employer’s responsibilities.
Legislation provides guidelines to help your employer, but you also have a role to play, and that is to assess risks throughout your day and recognise potential hazards. If you see a potential risk, do something about it. If, for some reason, you are unable to sort it out, then report it to someone who can, such as your line manager.
By the end of this course, you will understand your role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, be confident in assessing risks, and know how to report incidents.
